I Got This

We think we are self-sufficient, that we can handle everything.

We go wrong in so many areas in our lives because we try to handle our affairs ourselves. And when we do that, we are saying, “God, I got this”. But we really don’t. We all give some things to God, and handle the rest ourselves.

Leaving God out is a sure thing for disaster, either now or later. Give it all to God in prayer, and let him show you the way to go. He knows all, He sees all. He is the way, the truth, and the life. You can’t go wrong with God. Do it His way, not yours.

II Corinthians 3:5 (KJV) – not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

Philippians 4:6 (KJV) – be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

John 14:6 (KJV) – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: Norman cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I Don’t Understand It

The word of God is where we get our daily instructions. But there are so many of us that don’t read it because we don’t understand it.

One of the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit is to bring us into the knowledge of God, to understand the things of God.

If you don’t read it, you won’t understand it. And if you read it and don’t understand it, ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding . . . And He will.

Knowing the word of God is your protection, and saves you from a multitude of sins. Get in the word, and watch your life change for the better, see your blessing increase and your joy increase to another level.

Ephesians 1:17 (KJV) – that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

John 14:26 (KJV) – but the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and being all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) – wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding

Are You Despising God

We go about our daily living, not realizing half of what we do is not right. And that everything we do, should be done unto God, not man.

It is not God’s will for us to live despising and hating one another. His word say, if we despise someone, we are not despising man, but we are despising God.

Read His word, so that you know how to live accordingly.

Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV) – and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto me. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

I Thessalonians 4:8 (KJV)- he therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his Holy Spirit.

God Is In You

God formed man, and breathed the breath of life into him. He made us, not we ourselves.

God is as close to you as your breath. He lives in and through you. There’s nothing or noone closer.

Does your actions reveal God in you?

Genesis 2:7 (KJV) – and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living soul.

Psalm 100:3 (KJV) – know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

You Are Forgiven

If you feel what you have done in the past has kept you from God’s best, or that you will not receive any good thing from God . . . think again.

God knew what you were going to do with, and in, your life before you were born. Jesus died for you, and paid for your sins in full. Therefore, you have nothing else to pay. You have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

We all have, and will, fail short of God’s glory. Ask God for forgiveness for your sins, and forgive yourself. God has found you worthy. Why don’t you?

Matthew 20:28 (KJV) – even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Revelation 1:5-6 (KJV) – and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) – for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

It’s Time For A Divorce

It’s time to let go of the past. It’s time for a divorce!

We can’t stay married to our past, our past is gone. It’s not God’s plan for us. We have to learn to let go of that which does not belong in our life. We can’t change the past, and we can’t reverse it, but we can remember it.

Some things in our past, we have held on to for so long, it has become a part of our everyday living. We live as if it’s still there. We can’t move forward because we won’t let it go.

Divorce yourself from your past. Stop carrying the weight of what has already happened. Let it go! Leave it where it is — in the past. God wants you to move forward in your life.

Philippians 3:13 (KJV) – brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Self Efforts

Men and women, from the beginning of time, are looking for a husband or a wife. In time past, the man always seek the woman. It was improper for a woman to seek a man. Nowadays, it’s very common for the woman to seek after the man.

Regardless, if you are meant to be with someone, you don’t have to make special efforts to prove yourself, compete or impress someone that is meant for you. Competition and impressing others is the work of the flesh, which is a never ending battle. Self-efforts is very stressful and draining.

What God wants for you, will be revealed to you, and the other person. What’s meant for you, is only for you, not for someone else. Stop trying so hard to get what is not meant for you to have.

Proverbs 18:22 (KJV) – whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord.

Galatians 5:16 (KJV) – this I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

I’ll Think About It

Most often, we expect others to treat us the way we want to be treated, but we don’t always treat others the way we want to be treated.

When we treat others bad, in essence we are saying, this is how we want to be treated. But when we are treated bad, we don’t understand why. We are reaping what we have sown.

Lose the concept of; “treat me good and I’ll think about treating you good”, for we will reap what we have sown. But treat others the way you want to them to treat you.

Galatians 6:7 (KJV) – be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Matthew 7:12 (KJV) – therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

Only For A Season

Our struggles are only for a season. Remember, only for a season.

When we have gone through our struggles, we find that we are much stronger than we were, before we went through them. That’s if we have learned from them.

Know that everything you go through is between you and God. Never between you and someone else, but you and God.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) – to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
