I Need To Get In Shape

How much time do you spend on exercising or working out during the week? Strengthening your muscles, toning your body, either for yourself or for the world to see?

Exercise and working out is a good stress relief, and there’s nothing wrong with keeping our bodies in shape. But, when we’re not able to go to the gym anymore, and we’re not able to exercise or workout like we used to, then all we have are those weak muscles that does not do us as much good as before.

How much time do you spend reading the word of God? How much time do you spend with God? How much time do you spend strengthening your faith?

There is a strength that can’t compare to working out in the gym. If we are not reading God’s word, what good is our strength? We are nothing without God. When we are weak, God is strong.

It’s time to strengthen your mind, your body, your faith. Get in shape, and exercise on God’s word. Read his word, there is power in it!

I Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) – but refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Psalm 6:2 (KJV) – have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me: for my bones are vexed.

II Corinthians 13:9 (KJV) – for we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) – for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Pity Party Is Over

Life has a way of draining us emotionally, mentally and physically. Most of the time, it’s because we let it. It’s natural to go through emotions. But, when we have told our story, and others have given us pity, don’t turn it into a pity party.

Those things that hurt us are only there for a reason and a season. They are there to build us up, reveal who we are, draw us closer to God, and to help others.

The pity party is over! Move on! You can’t be strong and pitiful at the same time.

Psalm 69:20 (KJV) – reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) – to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

I Don’t Have To Take This

You don’t have to take everything that has been thrown at you — sitting down.

Stand up, don’t be afraid anymore, you can overcome. Let the inner man reveal himself in you, and to others.

II Timothy 1:7 (KJV) – for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but for power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Ephesians 3:16 (KJV) – that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.

I John 4:4 (KJV) – ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I Can Find My Own Way

In the dark, we use some form of light so that we can find our way. Without the light or the proper light, we try to find our way, with the hopes of not stumbling, falling, or hurting ourselves.

There are all sorts of light; flashlight, candles, light from our phone, light from the light bulb, or nature light from the day light, the sun, the stars and the moon. And there’s that light from within, which we are guided by — our Father.

Not every light will give you the proper light you need to guide you. You can still stumble and fall if your light is dim, and doesn’t shine bright enough for you to see your way clear. But if your light is bright, that doesn’t mean you still won’t stumble, but your chances of stumbling are so much more slimmer.

We listen to others and make them our god, which causes our eyes to become dim to the true light, and that’s when we stumble. There’s nothing wrong with listening to others, just as long as it is in line with the word of God. But, when it does not line up with God’s word, we make all kinds of mistakes, and wonder why things are not working out like we want, or expect.

How long are you going to find your own way, and walk in the darkness? God’s word is our lamp, that gives us the light to guide our footsteps and our path. Let God be the light that shines within you. You are the light of the world — let it shine!

Lamentation said 5:17 (KJV) – for this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.

Matthew 6:22-23 (KJV)the light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV) – thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Matthew 5: 14-16 (KJV) – ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

You Can Get Out Of It

God made you to withstand whatever comes your way. Unless you choose not wanting to get out of it, God made a way.

We have a tendency of believing we are not strong enough to withstand trials and temptations. If man made us, that would be a legitimate statement. But that is not so — thank God. God made us, and gave us power. He designed us with everything we need to face whatever comes our way. He did not forget anything.

Whatever temptation comes your way, God made a way for you to get out of it.

You are so much stronger than you think. God has given you the grace, and you have been designed to withstand everything that comes your way. You will never face anything that’s too big for you to handle. God already knows what you are going to face, and he already gave you what you need to get through it.

It is God working in you, not you working in you.

Ephesians 6:13 (KJV) – wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) – behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

I Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) – there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

II Peter 2:9 (KJV) – the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgement to be punished.

Philippians 2:13 (KJV) – for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Hebrews 13:21 (KJV) – make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Just Let It Go

There are some things in our lives that we need to let go of, to make our lives better.

We make things hard for ourselves because we don’t want to let go. We don’t always see the good in letting go, but in due time, God reveals it to us. Then we realize, in some cases, we wished we would had let go sooner.

Trust God, let go, and leave it.

Psalm 69:6 (KJV) – let not them that wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

Romans 12:9 (KJV) – let love be without dissimulation, Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Does That Means Everything

Give thanks for all things. Does that mean everything? Yes, everything!

God’s word says we are to give thanks always for all things. That’s means all the time, and for every single thing. Give thanks for the good things, and the bad things.

The majority have an issue with this statement, because we only want to give thanks for the good, but can’t find a legitimate reason to give thanks for the bad. If we trust God in everything, truly trusting God, this will not be an issue. Because God causes all things to work together for our good.

It is God’s will for you to give thanks. Give him thanks, and while you’re at it, give him praise!

Ephesians 5:20 (KJV) – giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) – and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) – in every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Psalm 92:1 (KJV) – it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.

Whatever You Do

Everything we do, we are to do it unto God. We will be rewarded for those things we do good, and we will receive wrong for what we have done wrong.

If you are deceiving others, and treating people wrong, you are doing it to yourself, because it will come back to you. If you are helping and treating others good, you are doing it to yourself, and will be rewarded for your good deeds.

Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly to God.

Colossians 3:23-25 (KJV) – and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Dont Rush Patience

Why do we go about life trying to find that good and perfect person for us. Some of us have standards that are too high, and some don’t care about standards, just as long as there’s someone to give them some attention.

We all want to be loved by someone. But the love we are seeking should not be temporary, but 4ever love, which comes from God.

We must know, once we pray, we have to wait. Sometimes we get so impatient with waiting, we cry out asking; “just send me somebody “. We have to be careful what we pray for. If we are not careful in our asking with being patient, we will get just what we do not want. Better yet, we will get just what we asked for.

Being patient is the key in our asking. If we move to soon, we can miss God’s very best for us. If we take matters into our own hands, we open the door to disaster, and we can miss our blessings.

You can’t hurry who you are waiting for, or you will miss what God is doing in your life, to prepare you for who you ask for. Let God mode you, and the one you are praying for. If you want love, and you ask our Father to provide, wait on God’s timing, not yours. Pray on it, but don’t focus on it. He will give you the desires of your heart, more than you expect.

Romans 3:12 (KJV) – they are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 40:1 (KJV) – I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Psalm 37:4 (KJV) – delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) – now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
