He Will Make You Think

Excerpt from Get It or Get Got . . . We have to be aware of satan’s devices. He will blind you from the good you already have, the green grass you already have.

He will make you think you want something else, especially that which does not belong to you. He will make you think that what you already have is not what you want. He will make you think, that which you do not have is exactly what you want and what you need.

He comes to steal, kill and destroy you. Stay in the word of God, so that you do not yield to satan, to the ways of the world, and that you know how to resist satan.

II Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) – lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

John 10:10 (KJV) – the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Galatians 5:16 (KJV) – this I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

James 4:7 (KJV) – submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

A Strong Foundation

If you had a choice to have your home build, there would be much to consider to making sure your home is build like you like it. However you choose to build your home, what you focus on the most will determine your priority. Whether it be the walls, the floors, the foundation, or the type of materials used, will determine if your home will be able to withstand the elements.

If you build your home on materials that look good, but are not durable, how long will your home stand? Storms come, and your home sways from one side to the other, and the materials of your home are slowly being blown away. But one strong storm comes, and takes away your home. That’s when you realize, but it’s too late, it’s not about the look, but the strength and the material of the foundation of which you’ve build your home.

We are God’s building, and He is our foundation. If we build on God’s foundation with the things of this world, every storm of life will have its way with us. Every storm will slowly take away a piece of us, destroying us, until satan is ruling us.

We must be wise what goes inside of us, and that it aligns with what God has build within us. How we continue to build on God’s foundation, will determine if we are able to stand against the storms of life. If we continue to build ourselves with the word of God, no storm and no man will be able to stand against us.

Let’s not be concerned about how good we look with what we have around others. But, by keeping your foundation strong by reading and meditating on the word of God, praying to our Father, listening to him, waiting upon Him, and trusting that he will see you through. By doing so, no weapon will prosper against you.

Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV) – therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

I Corinthians 3:9-11 (KJV) – for we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builder thereon. But let every man heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) – no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Don’t Stop Praying

When we pray and ask, we don’t always get what we pray for, or our prayer request is taking too long for us, so we stop praying for it.

Whatever it is you pray for, to receive it, make sure it aligns with the word of God. God doesn’t want you to have something that’s not good for you. Trust God in your asking, not in others. Believe what you ask for, by seeing as though you already have it. And wait. Wait for God to answer your prayer.

God is your Father – don’t stop praying.

I Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) – pray without ceasing.

Psalm 34:8 (KJV) – O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Mark 11:24 (KJV) – therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 4:17 (KJV) – (as it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Psalm 40:1 (KJV) – I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

No Response

Sitting back, doing nothing and saying nothing is not a characteristic of a Christian, but what one would call, being passive. Passive accepts what happens or what others do, without an active response.

When we are passive, not wanting to do anything in certain areas in our life, that we should, we are giving ourselves over to satan, and allowing him to rule over us. We are keeping ourselves from doing what God wants us to do. We are keeping ourselves from reaching our full potential.

When we think we are doing nothing wrong, when we say; we didn’t do anything, because we are doing nothing, makes us correct. But, our actions, our behavior indicates we are not correct. Because the problem is, we did nothing.

Being passive is being fearful. We don’t say anything, because we fear of hurting someone’s feelings, or because one may think we took someone else’s side. Or, of what one may say. We shouldn’t fear saying or doing the right thing. Fear is not of God.

Know, that God is in you. Ask Him to teach you what to say, and to tell you what to do. He will guide you. Step outside of fear, and step into faith.

Romans 7:19 (KJV) – for the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

II Timothy 1:6-7 (KJV) – wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Luke 12:12 (KJV) – for the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

John 16:13 (KJV) – howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) – now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Whats In Your Empty Space

There’s empty space in our minds. And we must be careful what we allow in our minds to take up that empty space. Moving out the negative and moving in the positive is the objective.

Satan wants to have permanent residence in our mind, to keep us from doing the right things. The more negative we think, the more comfortable satan is. Therefore, we must not give satan any place in our thoughts, but we must be careful of what we think, to keep him out. But know, that he will come back.

Thinking positive and reading the word of God, is a sure way of keeping satan out of your mind. When you think right thoughts, satan has to leave. Keep your thoughts on the word, when satan returns he will find no empty place, therefore, he will leave.

Ephesians 4:27 (KJV) – neither give place to the devil.

I Peter 5:8 (KJV) – be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

James 4:7 (KJV) – submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Honor Your Mom

A mother’s love is unconditional, a prime example, and the closest to the love of God.

She wants the best for you, she hurts when you hurt, she cries when you cry, and she chastise you when you do wrong, because she loves you.

We should fear our mother, not as to be afraid of her, but in reverence and honoring her. When we honor our mom, our days on earth will be long. And, we should keep our hearts fixed on God, to make her heart glad.

Give your mom unconditional love, pray for her, attend to her needs, just as she attended to yours. Make her happy, by living a righteous life. You will not only please her, but our Heavenly Father as well.

Honor your mom every day, not just Mother’s Day.

Leviticus 19:3 (KJV) – ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

Exodus 20:12 (KJV) – honour they Father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Proverbs 22-25 (KJV) – hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old. Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. They father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

Why Should I Wait

One of the hardest things for us to do is wait. It’s because, we have little patience.

Whatever it is we ask for in prayer, we expect it before we prayed for it. We expect God to give us what we asked for, whether we believe we are ready to receive it or not, and whether we believe it’s good for us.

Most of us, don’t take the time to see if what we ask for, lines up with what God wants for us. Nor do we want to be patient and wait for it, to see what God is showing us in our waiting. We want it, because we want it.

There are reasons for our waiting, for us to be patient. God is working things out behind the scenes to prepare us, or if it applies, the other person as well, for what it is we have prayed for. He may be removing something within us that doesn’t belong, or making us stronger, to receive what it is that we have requested. Therefore, we must wait on God.

There are blessings from God, beyond what we could ever imagine, when we wait for Him. Although we may be uncomfortable in our waiting, and we may want to quit, don’t give in, don’t give up. Wait on God.

I John 5:14-15 (KJV) – and this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV) – for since the beginning of the world man have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

What Am I Hungry For

When our physical bodies are hungry we feed it. Sometimes, and although we know, we eat what is not healthy for us. But how often, do we eat what we know is good for us?

It has been said, we are what we eat. More or less, what you put in the body will show on the outside of the body. Whether it be good food or bad food, too much, just enough or not enough food, it will all show on the outside of the body. Know that everything that’s affecting the inside, will eventually affect the outside. Therefore, ask yourself; what are you hungry for?

Our spirit has to be fed, just like our physical bodies. And too, whatever you fed the spirit, will show on the outside.

When you feed the flesh, your thoughts are negative, and your lifestyle becomes as gossipers, your desire is to man, and not God. There’s less blessings, and more chastisement in your life. And, you become more disobedient to God.

When you fed your spirit the word of God, your thoughts are positive, and you think more like God. Your light shines brighter and others see that. You’re stronger in your faith. You don’t care to listen to gossip or to be negative. Your desire is to God, and not man. You’re blessings are more frequent. And, you want to be more obedient to God.

Feed your body and spirit what you know is right in the eyes of God. Not in your own eyes. Because sooner or later, you will reap the benefits of your labor.

Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) – be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Cash In On The Word

The things of the world are always changing. And we, are always changing.

Can you imagine if God changed like we did? His mind is never made up. One day he wants to be honest with us, the next day he doesn’t. One moment he loves us, the next moment he doesn’t love us. Some days he’s with us, somes days he’s not.

We would be in a world of trouble if God’s behavior was like ours. Thank God that He doesn’t change. That He is the same all the time. That He keeps his promises. And that he will do what he said he would do.

One thing is for certain, God’s word is a sure foundation. We can take his word to the bank — every time!

Titus 1:2 (KJV) – in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

Romans 8:39 (KJV) – not height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) – let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, to day, and for ever.

II Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) – for all the promises of God in him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Romans 4:21 (KJV) – and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
