We try to come to conclusions and even ask why God did this or that.

God does what He pleases.

Psalm 115:3 (KJV) – but our God is in the heavens; he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

God knows what you need before you ask Him.

Still ask.

Matthew 6:7 (KJV) – be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

It’s better to be poor than a liar.

Remember, God hates lying.

Proverbs 19:22 (KJV) – the desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.

Proverbs 6:16-17 (KJV) – these six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.

When you pray in public just to be seen by man to get man’s approval, that’s all the praise you get.

Matthew 6:5 (KJV) – and when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

The Lord will defend all those who put their trust in Him.

Therefore, rejoice!

Psalm 5:11 (KJV) – but let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

I would hope we all believe we are not perfect.

Not one of us.

Romans 4:10 (KJV) – as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.

We don’t choose God because we seem to think we can handle it all.

You are not stronger than God.

I Corinthians 1:25 (KJV) – because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

You can’t hang with the Lord and satan.

It’s one or the other.

I Corinthians 10:21 (KJV) – ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
