Look What I Did

When we help others, it is not for us to go around bragging on what we did.

Once you’ve bragged, that’s all you get. You have received your reward from man.

Keep it to yourself until God rewards you. Then, go tell that!

Matthew 6:2 (KJV) – therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Just Like You

We look to man as the source to resolving our issues.

Everything is not possible with man.

If man is just like you, why do you put him over God?

Matthew 19:26 (KJV) – but Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I Don’t Believe It

Many don’t believe God will do what he say he will do.

Believe this . . . God wants to bless you. His word says to try him – prove him wrong.

He can’t lie, so why not try Him?

Malachi 3:10 (KJV) – bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Numbers 23:19 (KJV) – God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Just Fix The Problem

When we ask God to fix our problems, and relieve our pain, we truly don’t realize, we’re asking God to fix half the problem. Because “we”, are half of the problem.

You have to be willing to let God fix what’s on the inside of you, so you don’t go back to the stuff that put you there in the first place.

God is in the business of making whole . . . not fixing half of the problem.

Matthew 14:36 (KJV) – and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Luke 8:50 (KJV) – but when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

Just Give Me What I Ask For

We ask God to give to us, yet we don’t want to give to others. We ask God for blessings, yet we curse others. We don’t want to do what God ask, we just want him to give us what we ask for.

How can we expect God to give us anything, when we don’t want to give a portion of what we already have to others?

Stop asking for a blessing, when you don’t want to be a blessing to others.

Luke 11: 11-13 (KJV) – if a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Accept Who You Are

Be the best you can be, not the best, someone else you can be.

Stop trying to be what you’re not, by comparing yourself with someone else. You can’t be anyone else, and no one else can be you.

Accept who you are. You are a masterpiece – fearfully and wonderfully made!

Psalm 139:14 (KJV) – I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

No One Can Tell

If we pick at scars before they heal, they’re painful, adds more scarring, and takes longer to heal. Once healed, we can still tell there was a scar there.

When we allow our scars to heal on their own, we can barely see there was a scar, after a period of time.

Just the same, when you handle your battles yourself, you go through all kinds of pain and heartache. In the end, there are noticeable scars left on your heart that takes longer to heal, and in some cases, relationships that never mend.

When you let God fight your battles, no one can tell that you are going through, or even, went through a battle.

Don’t allow your battles to make you look like what you’ve been through.

Exodus 14:14 (KJV) – the Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Deuteronomy 20:4 (KJV) – for the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Forgive Me God I Don’t Have Time

Father God, please hear my prayer. Forgive me, I don’t have time to spend with you. But when I need you, please be there for me.

We have so much time for everything, but God. Yet, we want God to have time for us.

When it’s your time to meet him face to face, you don’t want to hear; go away from me, I never knew you.

James 4:8 (KJV) – draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Matthew 7: 23 (KJV) – and then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I Can’t Forgive

No matter what someone has done wrong to us, we find it hard to forgive them. Some things, we feel, are just not forgiveable.

No matter what, we are to forgive others, or we will not be forgiven by our Heavenly Father.

Forgive others. It’s not for them, it’s for you.

Mark 11:26 (KJV) – but if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
