We have this desire to want to be like someone for one reason or another.

Be like Christ.

Ephesians 5:1 (KJV) – be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.

Most are concerned about fitting in.

Dont worry about fitting in. You are to make a difference.

Walk in a manner that’s worthy of what God called you to do, not man.

Ephesians 4:1 (KJV) – I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.

If someone does you wrong, consider if that were you, and be humble towards them.

Galatians 6:1 (KJV) – brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the Spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

So many substitute other things for a fake and temporary god that has no life and will be destroyed.

Our God is the true and Living God, who lives forever.

Jeremiah 10:10-11 (KJV) – but the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

When you help those in need, you’re investing in others with a guaranteed return.

But don’t just do it for the sake of getting something back.

Proverbs 19:17 (KJV) – he that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Pray to have wisdom and understanding.

They are more precious than the finest of any silver and gold.

Proverbs 3:13-14 (KJV) – happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.  For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

God will do what He said He will do. 

Therefore, trust Him because He can’t lie.

Hebrews 6:18 (KJV) – that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.

Strong drink in excess can lead to unwise decisions and foolish behavior.

Proverbs 20:1 (KJV) – wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

There is one thing that we constantly do, among many, that God hates . . . and that’s lying.

He loves it when you speak the truth.

Proverbs 13:22 (KJV) – lying lips are abomination to the Lord, but they that deal truly are his delight.

We seem to think we have power over God.

God sent the Holy Spirit to live in you and give you power.

But that doesn’t mean you have power over the Holy Spirit.

John 13:16 (KJV) – verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
