Controlling

Some of us have characteristics to be controlling of others, so bad that it stagnates relationships – doesn’t move forward.

Controlling others is not God’s intention for us. We do not own anyone. We are God’s children. God is in control.

Remember, the way you treat others will come back on you, so don’t act surprised when it happens to you . . . because it will.

Matthew 7:12 (KJV) – therefore all things what ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Romans 14:8 (KJV) – for whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

Galatians 6:7 (KJV) – be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Never Satisfied

We complain so much about what we don’t like about our lives, and what we don’t have, more then the things we do like about our lives, and do have.

Satan doesn’t want us to be content, he wants us to be discontent – never satisfied.

Whatever it is, you can change it. But know this, be content while changing.

Philippians 4:11 (KJV) – not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Undefeated

God knows everything about you . . . why not trust Him?

He is undefeated. You can’t lose with God.

Psalm 139:1-6 (KJV) – O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou has beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me, such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Opened and Closed Doors

When one door closes, another opens.

As long as the door we are trying to close is still open, it’s because we haven’t learned. And it’s not meant for us to close. The very reason we go through so much trouble, is because we haven’t learned.

Stop trying to get ahead of yourself, when it’s not meant for you to move ahead, the way you see fit. Pay attention to what God is telling you. God open doors no man can shut. . . not you.

Revelation 3:8 (KJV) – I know thy works; behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my work, and hast not denied my name.

Let Him In

If you want more of God to work in your life, you have to have less of you operating.

Stop asking God to step in, when you haven’t opened the door for Him to come in. He’s knocking, let him in.

John 3:30 (KJV) – he must increase, but I must decrease.

James 4:3 (KJV) – ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

We Are Healed

Who do you know would be willing to be wounded for something you did wrong? Or to suffer the consequences for your wrong, just so you can have peace?

Jesus did that for us. Jesus saved us, and by his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) – but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Just Give It Up

None of us wants to give up control. We don’t want to surrender.

Whatever it is we decide we don’t want to give God control of in our lives, we are saying; “I’m not yielding, and I’m holding the reservations for this”. But we fail to realize that we will continue to go through whatever that is, until we surrender it to God. Understand, the reason we hold on to it is because, we doubt God.

Our Father said, He will supply all your needs, and will give you the desires of your heart.

Let go of going through the same thing over and over again. Give up your right to yourself, have faith in God, and be prepared to a great and super blessing.

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) – but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Psalm 37:4 (KJV) – delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Mark 11:22 (KJV) – and Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

How Deep Are You Shallow

Some would say, living the life as an believer, a follower of Jesus Christ, is living a shallow life. But it’s not – it’s deep!

The world says; an eye for an eye – you do it to me, I’ll do it to you. If you believe and trust in God, you will do it His way, which is totally opposite.

Trial and tribulations come on the believer and the unbeliever. The unbeliever has to suffer the consequences for his actions. But, when you’re being obedient to God, He accepts the consequences for your actions.

So you see, you suffering for your consequences is shallow. God accepting the consequences for your actions is deep – very deep.

Matthew 5:38-39 (KJV) – ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: but I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right check, turn to him the other also.

Deuteronomy 3:22 (KJV) – ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.

Galatians 6:7 (KJV) – be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

We Don’t Know It All

Are you, or do you know Mr. or Mrs. Know-It-All? That someone that’s always cutting in the middle of someone’s sentences, trying to finish or answer it, before they get a chance to hear it?

Do you know it is a shame, and lack of good sense to that person?

Let’s try to be quick to listen, and slow to speak. We don’t know it all.

Proverbs 18:13 (KJV) – he that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

James 1:19 (KJV) – wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Don’t Be Afraid

We have no reason to be anxious or fearful, but we torture and allow ourselves to do so, because we don’t have the courage to relinquish it.

Our Heavenly Father knows the end results before anything ever starts. Therefore, why not trust him from the beginning.

He said, not to be afraid, He will hold your hand. He got you!

Isaiah 41:10,13 (KJV) – fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help, thee; yea, I will uphold he with the right hand of my righteousness. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
