Thank God that his thoughts are not our thoughts, and his ways are not like ours.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV) – for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We really have to stop allowing the flesh-satan to rule over us into temptation.

The flesh is weak and never willing to fight. But the Spirit is always willing.

Matthew 26:41 (KJV) – watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

So often, we believe we are the source and can do it ourselves.

If you abide in Jesus, He will abide in you.

God is the source.

You can’t do anything without him.

John 15:5 (KJV) – I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

We do not want to deny ourselves anything.

When you follow Jesus, you are to deny yourself.

Matthew 16:24 (KJV) – then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

We are to give thanks for everything.

Everything includes what you see as negative.

That’s everything.

I Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) – in every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Things will fade away, but God’s word will stand forever.

Bank on it.

Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) – the grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

When you call on the Lord in distress, He hears you and answers you.

Psalm 118:5 (KJV) – I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

You believe you have love . . . That’s God.

You don’t believe you have power . . . God gave it to you.

Yet, you have fear . . . God didn’t give you that.

II Timothy 1:7 (KJV) – for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God wants us to live a life of abundance.

Jesus came so we can have it.

John 10:10 (KJV) – the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God gave us free will.

The choice to choose right from wrong, life or death.

Yet, He loves you enough to tell you the right choice to choose . . . . LIFE!

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) – I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
