Believe That You Can

Whenever we go through a situation and we feel it’s too hard, too much for us to handle, understand that God has already given us what we need to go through it.

His word says, He will never leave us, nor forsake us. So when we go through situations, remember He is in us, and greater than who is in the world.

It is “you”, who doubt and don’t believe you can get through your situation.

Believe that you can, God already knows you can.

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) – let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Matthew 6:30 (KJV) – wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

I John 4:4 (KJV) – ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.

My First Love

We all have a love since before the foundation of the world. That is God. God loved every last one of us before we were born. That means our parents, and our parents-parents, as so on.

We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Therefore, He is our first love. Love him, because he first loved us.

Ephesians 1:4 (KJV) – according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Revelation 2:4 (KJV) – nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left my first love.

Mark 12:30 (KJV) – and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

I John 4:19 (KJV) – we love him, because he first loved us.

Everything Is Not Meant For You

Satan is in the catering business, whether we want to call it that or not. When satan shows us something we like or want, and we know it’s wrong and we choose to have no self-control over it, we take it.

Satan has a way of pushing what is good in our lives, so far behind us, that we cater to the him — the flesh. He has a way with our minds to make us believe, what is set before us, we can pick and choose what we want. He can put out a spread so beautiful, because he knows what we like. But he doesn’t show us the consequences that comes with that beautiful spread.

Everything that’s beautiful, or presented before you, is not meant for you. Know the tactics of satan, so that you will know not to take from his table.

God’s word say, the wages of sin in death. Choose eternal life, which is a gift from God.

We all fall short of God’s glory, we just don’t have to fall every time.

II Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) – lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Romans 6:23 (KJV) – for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) – for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Our First Response

How many times have you called someone for help, and they did not answer your call? How frustrating.

When we look to others to fulfill our needs, first we put expectations on them, then we take the risk of disappointment. If what we expect from others is delivered, we’re good. But when they don’t, we’re disappointed, frustrated, and even upset at others.

Our first response is to go to God. Call upon Him, not second, or somewhere down the line, or when everything or everyone else has failed — but first. Go to God, expecting from him. Come to him in spirit and in truth. He will hear you, and save you.

God will supply your every need. He wants to be there for you. He wants you to call on Him. He wants to give you what you ask for.

Call upon God first, not man. Man will hesitate, God is waiting.

Psalm 145:18-19 (KJV) – the Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) – but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Luke 11:9 (KJV) – and I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Psalm 86:7 (KJV) – in the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

There Is None Other

Who do you know is like God? What do you know is like God?

There is none like God! None! None powerful! None mighty! None all knowing! None!

Our Heavenly Father is righteous and holy in all his ways.

He is great! He is God, and God alone.

Psalm 86:8- (KJV) – among the god’s there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

Matthew 28:18 (KJV) – and Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Psalm 145:17 (KJV) – the Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Psalm 86:10 (KJV) – for thou art great, and doesn’t wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Choose Which Way You Will Go

There is no understanding those that do evil. They walk in the flesh, and there is no good in the flesh, because they are of the world.

You can’t expect good to come from those that are of the world. Therefore, what do you expect? And, what more is there to understand?

Those that follow after Jesus are not of this world, for they walk in the Spirit.

You will know whether someone is of the Spirit or of the flesh. Try them. Any person, in the flesh or the Spirit, is know by what they produce – by their fruit. Either good fruit, or evil fruit.

Ask yourself, what type of fruit are you producing?

Matthew 7:17-18 (KJV) – even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

John 17:16 (KJV) – they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Galatians 5:16 (KJV) – this I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

I John 4:1 (KJV) – beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Matthew 12:33 (KJV) – either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is know by his fruit.

A Fight You Will Never Win Against

We try so hard fighting what God is moving us away from. God wants to give us something or take us somewhere, so much better, but we fight it. In essence, we’re fighting God. What we don’t realize is, we have already lost the battle. So why fight? We can’t fight against God and expect to win.

Every time we go against what God wants us to do, we are rebelling against God. We are being disobedient. And with disobedience comes consequences.

We don’t know more than God, neither do we have power over God. We think we know what’s best for us, but we don’t. Look back at all those times you took control of your life, and see how much of a mess you made. But thank God for his mercy and grace, that he didn’t leave you there.

God knows what’s best for you. He knows how to take your mistakes, and turn them around for your good. He knows how to turn your sorrows into joy. He is the way, the truth and the life.

Stop fighting the one person you will never win against, and let God be the wind beneath your wings! Soar — and let Him take you where you never been, and do what you could never do on your own.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) – and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

John 14:6 (KJV) – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Psalm 107:11-13 (KJV) – because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: therefore he brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

Job 5:17 (KJV) – behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.

Why Should I Forgive You

Can you imagine going through life not being forgiven for something you’ve done? I don’t mean just one thing, but for everything. Every time you have done something wrong in your life you were told, you will not be forgiven. That’s too awful to think about.

We are to forgive others, every time they have wronged us, repented, and wronged us again.

If we are not forgiving towards others, God will not forgive us. Not only that, He will allow a way for us to do something that will require us to want forgiveness for ourselves. We will reap what we have sown.

The next time the situation presents itself for you to forgive someone, put yourself in their shoes. Forgive others, so that you can be forgiven as well.

Luke 17:3-4 (KJV) – take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Galatians 6:7 (KJV) – de bot deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV) – for if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I Expect You To Make Me Happy

Why do we seem to think that others have the responsibility to make us happy?

It is not someone else’s job to make us happy, laugh or lift us up. If we are relying on others to make us happy, we are disappointing ourselves.

If someone doesn’t say what we want to hear, or do what we expect them to do, we become disappointed, and discouraged. We put so much pressure on others, we truly don’t realize we’re doing it.  Our expectations are from man, when they should be from God. If we think about it, we’re living our lives saying; “I expect you to make me happy”. That’s a lot to put on someone.

We are to rely on God for EVERYTHING. He is our source. Our dependency should not be from others, which is self-sufficient, but from God. Our expectations are from God, not man.  Our joy is in the Lord.

Take man off the hook. Trust God and look to Him to bring you joy and peace.

II Corinthians 3:5 (KJV) – not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

Romans 15:13 (KJV) – now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through he power of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 35:9 (KJV) – and my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
