No Response

Sitting back, doing nothing and saying nothing is not a characteristic of a Christian, but what one would call, being passive. Passive accepts what happens or what others do, without an active response.

When we are passive, not wanting to do anything in certain areas in our life, that we should, we are giving ourselves over to satan, and allowing him to rule over us. We are keeping ourselves from doing what God wants us to do. We are keeping ourselves from reaching our full potential.

When we think we are doing nothing wrong, when we say; we didn’t do anything, because we are doing nothing, makes us correct. But, our actions, our behavior indicates we are not correct. Because the problem is, we did nothing.

Being passive is being fearful. We don’t say anything, because we fear of hurting someone’s feelings, or because one may think we took someone else’s side. Or, of what one may say. We shouldn’t fear saying or doing the right thing. Fear is not of God.

Know, that God is in you. Ask Him to teach you what to say, and to tell you what to do. He will guide you. Step outside of fear, and step into faith.

Romans 7:19 (KJV) – for the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

II Timothy 1:6-7 (KJV) – wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Luke 12:12 (KJV) – for the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

John 16:13 (KJV) – howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) – now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Whats In Your Empty Space

There’s empty space in our minds. And we must be careful what we allow in our minds to take up that empty space. Moving out the negative and moving in the positive is the objective.

Satan wants to have permanent residence in our mind, to keep us from doing the right things. The more negative we think, the more comfortable satan is. Therefore, we must not give satan any place in our thoughts, but we must be careful of what we think, to keep him out. But know, that he will come back.

Thinking positive and reading the word of God, is a sure way of keeping satan out of your mind. When you think right thoughts, satan has to leave. Keep your thoughts on the word, when satan returns he will find no empty place, therefore, he will leave.

Ephesians 4:27 (KJV) – neither give place to the devil.

I Peter 5:8 (KJV) – be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

James 4:7 (KJV) – submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Happy Mother’s Day

Today is her day — Mother’s Day!

Know that your mom is priceless and precious. Obey your mom and honor her.

Happy Mother’s Day Moms!!

Proverbs 31:10 (KJV) – who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Ephesians 6:1-3 (KJV) – Children’s obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour they Father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Honor Your Mom

A mother’s love is unconditional, a prime example, and the closest to the love of God.

She wants the best for you, she hurts when you hurt, she cries when you cry, and she chastise you when you do wrong, because she loves you.

We should fear our mother, not as to be afraid of her, but in reverence and honoring her. When we honor our mom, our days on earth will be long. And, we should keep our hearts fixed on God, to make her heart glad.

Give your mom unconditional love, pray for her, attend to her needs, just as she attended to yours. Make her happy, by living a righteous life. You will not only please her, but our Heavenly Father as well.

Honor your mom every day, not just Mother’s Day.

Leviticus 19:3 (KJV) – ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

Exodus 20:12 (KJV) – honour they Father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Proverbs 22-25 (KJV) – hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old. Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. They father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

Why Should I Wait

One of the hardest things for us to do is wait. It’s because, we have little patience.

Whatever it is we ask for in prayer, we expect it before we prayed for it. We expect God to give us what we asked for, whether we believe we are ready to receive it or not, and whether we believe it’s good for us.

Most of us, don’t take the time to see if what we ask for, lines up with what God wants for us. Nor do we want to be patient and wait for it, to see what God is showing us in our waiting. We want it, because we want it.

There are reasons for our waiting, for us to be patient. God is working things out behind the scenes to prepare us, or if it applies, the other person as well, for what it is we have prayed for. He may be removing something within us that doesn’t belong, or making us stronger, to receive what it is that we have requested. Therefore, we must wait on God.

There are blessings from God, beyond what we could ever imagine, when we wait for Him. Although we may be uncomfortable in our waiting, and we may want to quit, don’t give in, don’t give up. Wait on God.

I John 5:14-15 (KJV) – and this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV) – for since the beginning of the world man have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

What Am I Hungry For

When our physical bodies are hungry we feed it. Sometimes, and although we know, we eat what is not healthy for us. But how often, do we eat what we know is good for us?

It has been said, we are what we eat. More or less, what you put in the body will show on the outside of the body. Whether it be good food or bad food, too much, just enough or not enough food, it will all show on the outside of the body. Know that everything that’s affecting the inside, will eventually affect the outside. Therefore, ask yourself; what are you hungry for?

Our spirit has to be fed, just like our physical bodies. And too, whatever you fed the spirit, will show on the outside.

When you feed the flesh, your thoughts are negative, and your lifestyle becomes as gossipers, your desire is to man, and not God. There’s less blessings, and more chastisement in your life. And, you become more disobedient to God.

When you fed your spirit the word of God, your thoughts are positive, and you think more like God. Your light shines brighter and others see that. You’re stronger in your faith. You don’t care to listen to gossip or to be negative. Your desire is to God, and not man. You’re blessings are more frequent. And, you want to be more obedient to God.

Feed your body and spirit what you know is right in the eyes of God. Not in your own eyes. Because sooner or later, you will reap the benefits of your labor.

Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) – be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

An Opportunity

When someone ask you to give to charity, do you think about the importance ? Do you think about it on a spiritual level? Do you prompt the question; why should I give? Or, do you see it as an opportunity?

We like to keep our money to ourselves. And when we don’t give, we have the hope that someone else will give in our place. But, your robbing yourself of your blessings, and an opportunity to bless someone else. We can have all things, but we are nothing with those things if we don’t have charity.

Charity is kind, it doesn’t envy or brag, it’s not evil, and it’s not selfish. God’s word say, there is faith, hope and charity, but charity is the greatest of these. Charity is many things to us, and we don’t realize it.

You have the opportunity to bless yourself. Live a life of charity, and not a life of selfishness. As you can see, there’s great gain in charity. Therefore, the next opportunity you are blessed to bless someone else, do it cheerfully! Because God loves a cheerful giver!

I Corinthians 13:2-8 (KJV) – and though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity sufferers long, and is kind, charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

II Corinthians 9:7 (KJV) – every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Get Understanding

Do you understand everything you hear?

We, in the flesh, live our lives being guided by others, through their words or actions, so that we can understand things, and to be understood. But what we don’t understand is, we are trying to understand someone else’s ways. Without proper understanding, we lack proper knowledge. And without proper knowledge, we stand back and let others hold our hands and speak for us, and do for us. It is foolishness to God, to be without understanding.

God’s word says, out of everything we obtain, that we should obtain understanding. God’s word is wisdom, knowledge and understanding, which we should read daily, to know how to live, on a daily basis.

Read the word of God, receive knowledge, and get the proper understanding for yourselves.

Psalm 32:9 (KJV) – be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) – wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 15:14 (KJV) – the heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

Proverbs 2:6 (KJV) – for the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 3:13 (KJV) – happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Being Chastised

Being chastised by our parents is not something we looked forward to, when we have done something wrong. But, after the chastisement, we hear the words; “I love you”.

It’s the same with our Father. We are God’s children, and He chastise us because he loves us. Although we may not like it, know that all chastisement is for our good.

Hebrews 12:9 (KJV) – furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Proverbs 3:12 (KJV) – for whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Hebrews 12:11 (KJV) – now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Know When You Are Blessed

We hear people say, all the time; ” I am blessed “! Yet, there are most, who can’t tell you why they are blessed, that coincide with the word of God. We speak it because we heard it from someone else, or have come to our own conclusion of what a blessing from God is.

One may say, they are blessed because they hit the lottery. Or they are dating an individual that they have been wanting to be with, who has someone else. Or they have received too much cash back from a purchase, and don’t say anything. Blessings??

God’s word say, we are blessed in so many ways, in so many areas, and what we will be blessed with. He speaks of blessings to those that are poor in spirit, if you’re not offended in God, if you fear God and walk in his ways. If you trust God, and not lie. If you consider the poor. And so many more.

We should know what we speak on, and not just speak it because we heard it from someone else. But, because we have read it for ourselves, in the word of God. Know when you are blessed.

Matthew 5:3 (KJV) – blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 11:6 (KJV) – and blessed is he, whosever shall not be offended in me.

Psalm 128:1 (KJV) – blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Psalm 34:8 (KJV) – o taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

Psalm 41:1 (KJV) – blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
