God Is Love

Valentine’ Day is a day to show love and to celebrate affection towards loved ones. With that, our words of expression play a huge part in our affection. We go out and buy cards to read what comes closest to what we want to say.

Loving others and showing affection is of God, because God is love. We just have to realize who our first love is. And that is God, everyone else is secondary. We should love God with everything we are.

Matthew 22:37 (KJV) – Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

I John 4:16 (KJV) – and we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in Him.

Show Good Over Evil

Did you know, holding anything against anyone is a sin?

In the natural, when someone does us wrong, we want to give it back to them. In the Spirit, we should forgive them, and live at peace with all men. We are to overcome evil with good.

Remember as I said before, what we say or do to someone, will come back on us. Whether good or bad.

Romans 12:17-18 (KJV) – recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Romans 12:21 (KJV) – be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Words Are A Bomerang

Be very careful in what you say and what you do against someone. Those things that we speak, we speak for and against ourselves. If you don’t believe me, the next time you speak against someone, talk about someone, judge someone, especially those who have not wronged you, pay attention after the fact, it is going to come back on you.

Matthew 7:-2 (KJV) – judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Psalm 37: 12-13 (KJV) – the wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

Receive What Is Yours

When we pray for things and they are not answered, it’s because God knows best. He does say no, because it’s for our protection. God has higher goals for us, and He wants us to reach for those goals. But we don’t, because we ask and pray for little things.

Spend time with God, and it will change the way you think and the way you pray. The more you spend time with God, the more He reveals himself to you. The more you read His word, the more you will know how and what to pray for. The BIGGER your prayers will be, and he will give you what you desire.

Psalm 37:4-5 (KJV) – delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Matthew 13:11 (KJV) – He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given,

John 11:22 (KJV) – but I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

Is This From God

How do you know if something is from God, including love?

Some say, if it feels right it has to be from God. We can’t go by our feelings because our feelings are from the flesh. Well, you can’t earn it. A gift is something freely given to you. Not something you have worked for, to receive it.

Read the scripture below, and pay attention to the words. Read it more than once.

James 1:17 (KJV) – every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Get Wisdom And Understanding

Most people don’t read God’s word because they don’t understand it.

The more you read God’s word, the more wisdom you gain, and the more understanding you will have. God wants us to know His word, to know Him, therefore, ask for wisdom and understanding before you begin to read.

Psalm 119:33-34 (KJV) – teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yes, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) – wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

I Promise You

Our Father wants the best for us, whether you think so or not. He has made so many promises to us so we can have His best. Most of us don’t know what those promises are because we don’t take time to read His word to find out.

God promised — He said, for us to give Him our problems, take them to him, give them to him, he will carry them for us, and he will give us peace of mind.

God promised — He said, go in your closet, pray to Him and don’t tell anyone you’re going to do it. And whatever you pray to him in secret, He will reward you in the presence of others.

If someone came to you and said; “if you had 3 wishes, and they came true, what would they be”, you would let them know, in hopes that those wishes would really come true. Well, your Heavenly Father is giving you more than 3 wishes, but the desires of your heart. He wants to grant your every desire. But you have to read the word of God to know how to ask for what you want. Read the word of God, pray, and receive the blessings of God. He wants to bless you! He wants you to live a life of enjoyment, abundance, and peace!

Matthew 11:28 (KJV) – come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 6:6 (KJV) – but thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Who’s Mirror Are You Carrying

Are you carrying someone else’s mirror around? When you look in the mirror, do you see you or someone you’re trying to be?

God made you to be you, not someone else. We walk around envying and competing against others. What God has for someone else, is for that someone else, not you. God has something only for you.

We all have gifts and talents. What God has put in you, is only for you. God made you to look the way you look because that’s how He want you to look, not like someone else.

There’s a difference when you’re inspired by someone and being like someone. It’s not God’s plan for you to be like someone else, it’s yours. Trying to be like someone else only brings on frustration for you, not the other person. You are not able to be happy for them when they have something to celebrate, because of your envy and competition.

You can’t recognize there is something to celebrate in you, because you’re trying to be like someone else.

Give them their mirror back so that you can see yourself, your talents and gifts God has given you. You have something within you that God has given only you, and only you can achieve what God has put in you. Be the you God made you to be, you’d be surprised how awesome you are!

Psalm 139:14 (KJV) – I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Ephesians 1:4 (KJV) – according as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Don’t Let Go

When life has taken you for a ride that you did not ask to go on, don’t cry and complain along the way. Take the bull by the horns, leave those things that are behind, and press forward for those things that are ahead. Hold on!

Be determined to stay on the course that is set before you. And don’t let go! Don’t look back, don’t look to the left, don’t look to the right, but forward. God has went before you to make sure you’re path is clear. Let Him guide you. Keep your eyes on the prize as you ride your course, and you will come out VICTORIOUS! You will finish the course! God’s eyes are upon you. Keep your eyes upon Him . . . You can’t and you won’t go wrong.

Joshua 23:6 (KJV) – be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV) – brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I Timothy 6:12 (KJV) – fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Psalm 25:15 (KJV) – mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
