I Do What I Want To Do

We do what we want to do, say what we want to say. We are our own boss! But, are we?

We say we are going to do this or that, not even thinking about what God’s plan is for us. We go by our own plan for ourselves, until we are at our worst and our back is up against the wall, then we cry out to our Father.

We make a mess of our lives so much, it’s automatic problematic, and we don’t even realize it.

We are bought with a price. We are not our own, but we seem to think we are. When the mess we have made is truly resolved, it is not ourselves that did it, but God. When I mean truly resolved, I mean not a temporary resolution– but totally resolved.

Get out of the mess you made, by reading the word of God. He knows what’s best for you, and He will show you how to make your crooked places straight.

Remember, God is the boss!

James 4:15 (KJV) – for that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

II Samuel 22:7 (KJV) – in my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

I Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV) – what? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Isaiah 40:4 (KJV) – every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.

Watch What You Say

We should be very careful what we speak. Because, every word that comes out of our mouth, we will give account to God.

Just because others haven’t heard some of the things we have said in murmuring, or in private to others, we will give account.

We can’t tame our tongue, but we can be mindful of what we say, by being quick to listen, and slow to speak.

Think about what you say from this point going forward, because our Father will judge what you have said in the day of judgment. Repent and ask for forgiveness, He is faithful to forgive you, and even cleanse you from what you have done wrong.

Matthew 12:36 (KJV) – but I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

James 3:8 (KJV) – but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

James 1:19 (KJV) – wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

I John 1:9 (KJV) – if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I Dont Want To Wait

When we try to take matters into our own hands, we miss the most important part — the lesson, and the blessing.

We are so impatient, we don’t want to wait. Whatever it is, we want it now. We want the relationship now, the money now, the victory now. But, there are so many consequences when we don’t wait.

When we wait, there is so much more in the waiting. It is in the waiting — in your journey as you wait, that you receive God’s guidance, understanding, wisdom, blessings — and so much more than what you ask for.

Stop failing less of life’s lessons, and learn to wait on God. It is He, who will renew your strength, and give you the blessings.

Isaiah 30:18 (KJV) – and therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) – now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; that shall run, and not he weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Wish Them Well

When we have been hurt by someone, we are quick to get the “well-let-me-show-you” attitude.

That is not what our Father wants from us. Let God exalt you for the wrong others have done to you. Don’t try to retaliate or wish them wrong, but pray for them. God will turn your ashes into beauty, and lift you up in the presence of your enemies.

So don’t wish and pray them hell . . . wish and pray them well.

Matthew 5:43-44 ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Psalm 23:5 (KJV) – thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

I Got It

There are so many who are trying to figure out God and his works, from the beginning of time, to the end of this world. There are some, who actually believe they got it.

Scripture tells us, that we will never get it. We will never know the works of God, in this life, from the beginning to the end. We will grow in Him, and will learn of him, but we will never know of his works from the beginning to the end.

If you’re one that’s trying to figure out God and his works, from the beginning to the end. . . Stop! You’re not going to know. He has already set our hearts so that we don’t know. How awesome is our God!

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) – he hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Move Me

Some people are put in our path just to stir us up. And that may be the only reason they are in our life, at that time.

God doesn’t allow us to be stirred up so things can stay the same, He allows us to be stirred up, so He can move us in the direction he wants us to go.

These workers of iniquity are doing what they are called to do. They don’t know they are, but they are only there for a season. Remember, we aren’t fighting the flesh, but powers.

Ask God, “what are you telling me through this”, and wait for him to reveal the reason. You may not get the answer right away, or while you’re going through it, but He will reveal it to you. 100% of the time, He is moving you in a different direction.

II Corinthians 12:7 (KJV) – and lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Psalm 125:5 (KJV) – as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) – to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) – for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Bless Me Lord

We are weak and fearful individuals, living in the flesh. But we are strong and conquerors, living in the Spirit.

Let your blessings be many, and your disappointments be few, by walking in the Spirit, and not in the flesh.

Matthew 26:41 (KJV) – watch and pray, that he enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

41:10 (KJV) – fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Galatians 5:16 (KJV) – this I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Hidden Blessings

When things are being stirred up in our lives, and we don’t understand why, and we first see it as something bad. But, have you thought to look at it as a blessing in disguise?

We hold back from change because we want to keep the familiar things just as they are. But what we don’t realize, is they are hidden blessings. We can’t keep things the way they are forever without growing. God wants to stir us up so that he can show us what he has for us. He has something so much bigger than our own dream.

We have to step back and see what God is doing in our lives. He wants us to move forward. We get comfortable, and don’t want to change. But change is what moves us forward to what God wants for us.

When God has given you grace to move forward, the past is never going to be like it used to be, but your future is going to be so much better, if you let Him have his way.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) – now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Philippians 3:13 (KJV) – brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

I Blame You

We sabotage our own lives, but we blame it on others.

When things are not going exactly like we want, we find a way to get upset and ruin the atmosphere, instead of learning to accept change. We don’t want to be accountable for what went wrong, so we blame everyone else, except ourselves. Remember, we are not perfect people, therefore, we have to blame some, if not all, on ourselves.

When you learn to stop having your way, accept that you just might like what others have to offer. Stop sabotaging your life, by examining yourself, not others. You will begin to make wiser decisions, and your life will reveal itself of God’s peace.

II Corinthians 13:5 (KJV) – examine yourselves, whether he be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know he not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

There’s More Fight In You Then You Think

When we run a race, we practice for that race. In our practice, we are expecting to be the winner or close to it. Therefore, in order to be a winner, we are expecting to finish the race.

In practice, things get tough at times. So tough, there’s a desire to quit. We don’t want our efforts to be in vain — for nothing. Therefore, we must persevere, keep going to win the race and receive the reward.

Such is our lives. When we follow after God, there will be times when we feel we don’t want to do the right thing, and we want to quit. But when we quit, we become a follower of this world. Thank God, He gives us another chance at the race.

Press forward, have faith in God, and let God be your guide. Let Him show you how to finish the race in his strength and not your own. Don’t give up on God. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, because there is a reward waiting for you, if you finish the race. There’s more fight in you, then you think.

Philippians 3:14 (KJV) – I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

II Timothy 4:4-5, 7-8 (KJV) – and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
