Excerpt from Get It or Get Got . . . Fighting temptation takes courage. Temptation is only temporary, and there are consequences for our every action, whether good or bad.
Temptation has a way with our feelings; therefore, we must be careful not to walk in our feelings because our feelings and emotions can get us into some things that are easy to get into but so hard to get out of.
It’s up to us to make the choice to walk in the Spirit, to rebuke temptation.
Galatians 6:7 (KJV) – be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) – for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Matthew 26:41 (KJV) – watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
James 1:22 (KJV) – but be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Galatians 5;16 (KJV) – this I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
