Now that you’re older – remember, you have the living God.

Exactly. Many people when they read the Scriptures and they read about fearing God, they reduce the concept in their minds to merely respecting God, and not trembling in his presence. Should we respect God? Yes, of course we should. However, if we saw God in his full glory and consider what we are and what we have done, we would be like Isaiah (Isaiah 6.1–5), and Daniel (Daniel 10), and John (Revelation 1). Moreover, if we considered what it would be like in the Judgment if we do not repent of our sins, that would put us in fear.
