What To Expect

We all have our opinion about things, as well as our opinion of how we think God should operate. If God took our opinion about how he should operate, it would be complete chaos.

Think about yourself, one day content and happy, the next day completely the opposite. If God took all of our opinions, we wouldn’t know what to expect.

Jesus Christ is always the same, he doesn’t change. If you get to know him, you will know what to expect.

Hebrews 13:12 (KJV) – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

You Can’t Do It

We try so hard to live a life of obedience in our own strength, but we can’t. We were born in sin, therefore, our nature is sin . . . first.

It is God who works in you, to make you perfect in everything you do, to do his will.

Surrender yourself to God, and let Him work in you what is pleasing to him.

Hebrews 13:20-21 (KJV) – now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen

Who Are You Trusting

Who are you trusting for what you want? Are you putting your trust in man, or are you trusting God?

Man make promises all the time, and most of those promises are not kept for whatever reason or another.

God’s way is perfect. His word does not come back void. He will do what he said he will do.

Again, who are you trusting?

Psalm 9:10 (KJV) – and they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psalm 18:30 (KJV) – as for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) – so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Are You Dragging

A lot of our past is a blur, but some is crystal clear because we don’t want to, but should, let it go.

If you’re dragging your past into your future, why would you want to keep re-living what you drag? Let it go, and reach for what’s ahead!

Philippians 3:13 (KJV) – brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Permission To Take Control

When we allow the negative thoughts to constantly play in our mind, we have given satan permission to take control.

Think about what your thinking. Now think about those things that are true, honest and pure.

Take control of your thoughts, resist satan, and he must leave you.

II Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) – casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and brining into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Philippians 4:8 (KJV) – finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

James 4:7 (KJV) – submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Stop Running

We run from those things we are afraid of, more often than none. Afraid of the unknown. Afraid of the outcome.

Whatever it is you’re running from will continue to chase you, until you stop running and face it.

Stop running.

II Timothy 1:7 (KJV) – for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Pass The Test

When we’re tested in our faith, the test is on what we know, not what we don’t know.

Your test is between you and God, not you and the other person.

Trust God with all your heart. If you trust Him, you will pass the test.

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) – trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

What Are You Waiting For

If you ask anything from God, that is His will, He hears your prayer.

And, if you know he hears you, you will receive what you ask for.

What are you waiting for? Ask!

I John 5:14-15 (KJV) – and this is the confidence that we have in him; that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
