Live For Today

We live for today and hope for tomorrow. But yet, we live as if tomorrow is promised to us. We say things referring to what “we” will do for tomorrow. That’s because, we speak on our will, not God’s will.

We don’t know what tomorrow brings, only God knows. Therefore, we should speak for tomorrow saying; “if it be God’s will, I will do . . .”. LIVE FOR TODAY!

James 4:14-15 (KJV) – whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

The Uncomfortable Road

More often, we tend to take the road of being comfortable and do what we (man) want to do, then the road of being uncomfortable for a little while, and do what God wants us to do, which is what’s best for us.

It is when we are comfortable which doesn’t allow us to grow, to learn, to move forward in our lives. But, it is when we’re uncomfortable that He stretches our faith, which make us stronger, which moves us forward in our lives.

Be uncomfortable for a short time and receive the long-term blessings, over suffering the consequences of doing what we want to do, for a lifetime.

Romans 6:16 (KJV) – know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

II Corinthians 12:10 (KJV) – therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distress for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Be Content

We complain about the things we don’t have, instead of being happy about the good things we do have. Most are not always happy with what they have. Either we want more of this, or less of that. Not always satisfied. It can always be better, but thank God, it’s not worst.

God wants us to be content with what we have, and to be thankful in all things.

Whatever it is that you’re wishing it were, look at the good in it, and see it as coming from God.

Philippians 4:11 (KJV) – not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

I Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) – in every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Fear Factor

We have a tendency of fearing man over God. A lot! And that should not be. But why? It’s because we can see man, we can hear man. The natural man believe first, what he can see. But we take so much more time, sometimes a lifetime, to believe and trust God. Knowing we have All Mighty God on our side, we shouldn’t fear man, and what he thinks, man can do to us.

When we accept God as our personal Lord and saviour , and we trust Him for everything, fear becomes less and less a part of who we are. I’m not saying we will never fear, but fear will no longer be a major factor in our life. Neither will the fear of man.

God gave us everything we need to overcome fear. He has equipped us. When you feel fear, remember it’s not of God because he didn’t give us the spirit of fear. Fear is from Satan.

Psalm 118:6 (KJV) – the Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Hebrews 13:6 (KJV) – so that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

II Timothy 1:7 ( KJV) – for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Work It Out

Whenever you workout, you’re strengthening your body, making your muscles stronger. The more you workout the stronger you become, the more toned your body becomes, and the more definition you, as well as others, will see.

There’s nothing wrong with working on your body to make you look better. The more you read the word of God, the more in tuned you will be with God, the wiser you become, the more power you will have, and the stronger your faith you will see in you, as well as others will see in you.

I Timothy 4:8 (KJV) – for bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Ephesians 3:16 (KJV) – that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.

Is What You Want Worth Waiting For

Waiting on God is the key to receiving what we ask for. We have to wait for God’s timing, not our timing. There’s a reason God wants us to wait on Him. God sees all things, and knows all things that we can’t see. We see with the naked eye, which isn’t very far. God knows all, and see beyond today. God knows our future. . . that’s why it is wise to wait on Him.

When we have not received what we ask for yet, it could be, we’re not ready for what we’ve ask for? We won’t know how to accept it, or it may become the god in our life. Look back on something you asked for, and you didn’t wait for God’s timing, did you wish you never asked for it?

We are to wait on God’s timing because He knows what’s best for us. Wait on God, and trust in Him, not yourself. See God through for whatever it is you’re asking for. Don’t step in and try to make it happen yourself, sooner or later, you will suffer the consequences of your actions.

Psalm 25:3 (KJV) – yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Psalm 40:1 (KJV) – I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Isaiah 30:18 (KJV) – and therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgement: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Lamentations 3:25 (KJV) – the Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Can You Be Trusted

Your character say a lot about you, and so does your actions. Our mouth say one thing, but our actions say another, and our actions over-rule what we say — any day.

We all want to be trusted. If you are faithful to the little things, you will be faithful to the big things. But, if you are not faithful to those things that are little, you will not be faithful to those things that are big.

When you think you’re getting over on the boss, the friend, or the spouse, remember, God sees everything. He sees it all. He knows what you have or have not been faithful to. And, you wonder why you’re not trusted.

Be faithful to God in everything, so that you can be trusted over many things.

Luke 16: 10-12 (KJV) – he that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Whether Good Or Bad

Have you ever tricked someone, or lied to someone to getting something, to have your way? We’ve all been there at one time or another, whether in our younger years, or. . . Ok, you get the picture!

When we do things to use trickery, lying and deceit, we’re not getting over on anyone, we are doing those things against ourselves. We are sabotaging our future.

When we do good things to help others, whether financially, giving of our time, or of ourselves, we are blessing others as well as ourselves, now and in the future.

So don’t think whatever you’ve done in your past, or going forward, will not come to harvest. Whether good or bad, God will not be mocked. Be reminded, in everything you do, you are either harming your future or blessing your future. For we reap what we sow, more than we sow, later than we sow.

Galatians 6:5-9 (KJV) -for every man shall bear his own burden. Let Him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Against The Word

Have you ever read in God’s word, that He said he would do something and it didn’t happen? Whatever God said He will do, He will do it. It will happen.

Nothing and no one can stand against the word of God. God’s word does not come back void.

II Corinthians 13:8 (KJV) – for we an do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

James 3:14 ( KJV) – but if ye have bitter envying and strife in you hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) – so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s Mercy For You

When we have done something wrong, we are to forgive ourselves. We walk around thinking about whatever it is in our mind, and feeling guilty for things we have done. But that is satan disturbing your peace, stealing your joy, and wanting you to feel bad.

God has mercy towards us and doesn’t remember our sins, when we ask for forgiveness.

When we rely on our feelings, we are making our feelings superior to God’s word. Believe the truth of God’s word and his forgiveness. Humble yourself and put your trust in God, not in your feelings.

Psalm 103:10-14 (KJV) – He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
