Our thought process, in the flesh, is totally different than God’s. We believe if we keep our money for ourselves, we have more to spend. When someone wrongs us or treats us harshly, we should defend ourselves and wrong them and treat them harshly. And when we want patience, we expect to have it now.
God’s ways are not the same as ours. He tells us to do the opposite. If we give the first fruits of our income in tithing, we will receive more. He tells us to forgive those who have wronged us and we will be forgiven, and when we ask for patience, He will send us opportunities to be more patient.
There are so many that do not trust God, and ask; how does that work? What we do in the flesh doesn’t work to our advantage. We must know that God’s ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts ours thoughts. Therefore, God’s way is the best way.
Learn to trust and obey God. When you trust Him, you will obey Him, and you will see the wonders of His works.
Malachi 3:10 (KJV) – bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that here shall not be room enough to receive it.
Matthew 6:14 (KJV) – for if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Isaiah 55::8-9 (KJV) – for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I Chronicles 16:12 (KJV) – remember his marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and his judgments of his mouth.
