Tell Me The Answer First

Man will trust man before he trust God. One of the reasons we don’t trust God is because we want to know the answer before we say yes to Him.  We feel, if we say yes to God, we are saying yes to his will, and we’re giving up our control, but most importantly, we feel we may not like what God has to offer us.

We’re so comfortable with being comfortable, it makes us so afraid of risk and the unknown.  Being afraid of fear and not trying, is worst than being afraid of fear, and trying.  When you do try in fear, you’ve conquered your fear.

Know that God has your best interest at heart. You don’t have to know the answer first, to know that he wants to give you his best. Trust him with all your heart, even if you’re afraid. Be patient and wait upon Him. Don’t quit on God, cause He won’t quit on you. He will bless you just because you did.

Psalm 146: 3 (KJV) – put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

Joshua 1:9 (KJV) – have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

II Timothy 1:7 (KJV) – for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) – trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thing own understanding.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
