Your heart can get you in trouble for a temporary feeling.
Proverbs 28:26 (KJV) – he that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

That is a powerful proverb, which few people know, or if they did, they would not say to trust your heart. As the Lord said to Jeremiah: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17.9). Why then trust the heart? Trust the Lord.
